Wednesday is a full day. The students go on an all day hike and then we have the Underground Railroad simulation in the evening.
So it is a jam packed day. Mrs. M.

Day 3 - Nature's Classroom - morning, afternoon after hike, the farm, after class photos (at the basketball court)
Wednesday was really fun! Although the hike was tiring, I liked being outdoors and seeing all of the nature. The simulation was like the real thing! The yelling, the danger, and the close encounters gave me a sense of what slaves went through. Overall, Wednesday was awsome!

Even though the Underground Railroad was what some might call scary, it was a true learning experience to be in a slaves position while trying to escape to freedom. Erin R. The Underground railroad was a great experience that taught me alot about how the slaves felt and what their position was when they met bounty hunters and abolitionists along their way to freedom.
