Our last full day at Nature's Classroom. Sure to be a jam packed day from the moment we wake until we close our eyes to sleep.

Below you will find a note from one of the students in the Boat House written on an Alpha Smart Thursday during one of our transitions and added to the Thursday page on Saturday evening after a day of relaxing at home with our families!

I have to admit that I do miss my family. But, today we played Predator vs. prey and it was awesome, even though we were in the rain! First, I was a copperhead snake and I was chasing someone and I went around the corner and slipped! So, my pants were soaking wet! Then, the hawks attacked us and even though they had about 50 people I out ran all my friends! After that, we went on top of the playscape and when we went to attack I slid down the slide and my pants got even more soaked! Time went by though and the hawks came at us again. We had a plan, they would corner us and then we would jump over the fence. So, I tried this and my jump was better than I thought and I started running. Unfortunately, I didn’t see someone and they tagged me and that was the end of me as a copperhead. Finally, my energy transferred to the hawks and I increased their population to 78, but the game was over! I love Nature’s Classroom, and I will probably miss it when I arrive at home!

I am hoping that come Monday (or perhaps even before) we will see some other postings from students as to what went on during the week.
For now we will be happy with photos - and see who feels like typing in some thoughts on each day. Mrs. M.

Day 4 Photos - Fun from sunrise to sunset (well sunset comes in the second set of photos).

Day 4 Photos - afternoon, transitions, and inside climbing wall.

Day 4 Photos - evening, dinner, and TNL.

Student Thoughts and Comments:

Tonight we performed the skits we created in field group for everyone at Nature's Classroom to see. It was really funny!
Colleen O.

The skits were probably the funniest things ever! All of the skits were something different in their own special way. Mine was about what we were going to do for the play. Just to let everyone know, I came up with the idea! Ask someone from Steve's group!!
Grace Z.

The skits brought laughter to everyone! They were so much fun to create and so funny to watch! Our field group made up a skit about a spitting contest. I thought it was a hilarious performance. Erin R.

Today we played predator prey. I was a frog and then at the end I turned into a snake. Then that night we got to watch the skits. They were really funny. Thursday was my favorite day.

I couldn't believe it was Thursday already! It felt like yesterday we had just arrived. I was sad we were going home soon, but still had a ton of fun that day. We had TNL(Thursday Night Live). We all did skits with our field group. They were all very funny! Thursday was very fun! -leigh
